you know… it makes me so happy to see a child of this era to play with a view master!

for Christmas, my sis and i, we bought our friend’s boys a digital view master that has narration for some cells. you can use it manually if it doesn’t have the voice over. anyway, we went to toys r’ us and they had no idea what a view master was!!

i hope these stick around longer and i hope your 365 happens again for this new year :)

aw, yeah. i feel all nostalgic whenever i see august or his friends playing with the view master or toys i played with as a kid. and especially toys that encourage them to use their imaginations. i can’t believe that they didn’t know what a view master is. seriously. blows my mind. one of the items on august’s christmas wish list this year was bristle blocks. when my sister went to toys r us (they, of all places, should have had them) and they didn’t know what she was talking about OR even have them. i understand this a little more than the view master but, still. so sad. she found them online.

thanks so much for following my 365 and giving me feedback. it has been really encouraging and helped to make this a fun experience! i am looking forward to this year!

i remember toys r us used to be a place where both my sister & i loved going. we still love toys r us because of the retro toys they have. i just wish they didn’t push our childhood out the door for a new generation.

maybe i’m just being a complete b. kids still have their imagination and that’s all that really matters. i’m just glad that you’re showing your Skittle the neat stuff!

Who still has their Christmas tree up?

    • Posted January 20, 2012 at 12:12 PM | #

when i took that photo, i had both christmas trees still up. i only took down the real one in the main room last night because it was starting to look a bit sad. i like to keep my trees up until late january because i like to keep ‘em around for longer. a month to enjoy it is just not enough for me!
