“after a long day of shoe shopping for august, i decided to treat myself to this rose-y little fawn when i spotted him and just couldn’t put him down (first christmas decor. purchase of the season!).”

i like that little fawny! was the shoe-search successful? i’m curious to know if august loved or hated trying on lots of different shoes.

isn’t it just too cute? i was going to wait and not get it but i didn’t see any other ones in the store and i knew i’d be sad if i went back and it wasn’t there. no regret purchase! it makes me smile. :)

august did well with shoe shopping. it was a bit prolonged talking him out of trying on every single shoe that caught his eye because the shoe salesmen would be going back and forth. and then having to tell him to put shoes that he picked up back because they didn’t fit the specs we were wanting. but he was over-all really behaved about it and he was also just really curious by all the shoes and colors and the music and the tv screens that were in some of the shops.

he loved running back and forth to test out the shoes we’d try on him. and, sometimes, it was helpful to have the shoe sales people put the shoes on him because they’d be fawning all over him and he’d, of course, be all behaved and eating it up. ;p

it was good that we pretty much set aside the day to do that. we ended up spending most of it at the mall.

also, the light at the end of his tunnel was a trip to the play place so he was being super behaved for that, of course. :)
